Discover techniques to manage stress and enhance your wellbeing with EFT.
What is Evidence Based EFT?
Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), commonly known as 'Tapping', is an evidence informed self-help tool for stress relief. By combining a temporary mental focus on a particular concern we wish to resolve paired with an acceptance statement and a straightforward two-finger tapping method, individuals tackle a variety of challenges such as phobias, anxiety, depression, and more. Backed by research and clinical studies EFT presents a hopeful strategy for improving emotional health and alleviating pain. Embrace the advantages of EFT as you embark on your journey to personal healing and resilience.
How Does EFT Work?
The suggested mechanisms behind EFT involve the deactivation of the brain's stress center and memory center, alongside the improvement of the vagal nerve. Current research indicates that EFT may help regulate the autonomic nervous system. Additionally, clinical trials have shown that EFT can significantly reduce cortisol levels, the hormone associated with stress.
Further studies on gene expression show that EFT has the capacity to down regulate genes associated with the stress response and up regulate or improve immune function.
EFT allows us to release and transform the way unpleasant feeling like fear, hurt, pain and anger may affect our experience. It allows us to explore, and effectively change, how our thoughts, emotions and beliefs impact our bodies and ultimately our lives.
